Job Brief

We are looking for a lifestyle and health advocate to promote healthier living and educate people on the best ways to achieve healthy lifestyles. S/he will be responsible for identifying potential threats to public health and also work in a variety of roles educating people on how to achieve healthy living.

Responsibility

Must partner up with healthcare professionals to establish guidelines for any number of health issues, as well as establish guidelines for disease prevention and promoting healthier living habits.
Must arrange, organize or attend events for promotion and education purposes.
Shall provide insight and tips pertaining to health, and create or build and promote awareness on specific subject or on healthier living in general.
Shall commit to promote health and wellness by providing initiatives and programs to educate the public on how to achieve them.
Must seek to understand the ins and outs of given diseases or illnesses, and also educate on various topics.
Develop protocol and guidelines on how to deal with specific health issues.
Determine creative ways to build awareness around various subject matters, and to deal with the public at events.
Attend trainings, seminars or workshops pertaining to specific health areas.
Shall keep current with trends and guidelines on health matters.
Perform other related tasks as assigned by the management.

Job Requirements

Demonstrated experience in health advocacy.
Must be abreast of current trends, new potential threats, and various ways to promote guidelines on health issues.
Communication, writing and presentation skills.
Ability and willingness to travel to project’s zones at short notice or when required.
Fluency in English (spoken, read and written), Efik and Pidgin desirable.
